Billy Hamilton
The Tomb of C.R.C
The Tomb of Christian Rosenkreutz is a foundational element in many Western esoteric systems, from the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn to modern Masonic Rosicrucian orders. We will examine its description in the original source texts and discuss the religious, philosophical, and cosmological elements found within its walls.
Billy Hamilton is a Freemason and Past Master of Fort Worth Lodge No. 148 and of Texas Lodge of Research. From 2020 to 2022, he served as General Manager of the Grand Lodge of Texas Library & Museum in Waco, where he helped preserve and share the rich history of Texas Masonry.

In recent years, Brother Hamilton has been an active contributor to Masonic education in the United States and abroad. He has presented before the SRICF High Council (2023), the Masonic Society (2024), the Philalethes Society Dinner at Masonic Week (2025), the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania’s Academy of Masonic Knowledge (2025), and the Atlantis Bookshop in London (2025). His written work has appeared in The Journal of the Masonic Society, Knight Templar Magazine, Fraternal Review, Ad Lucem, volume 32 of Heredom, and volume LII of the Transactions of Texas Lodge of Research.

His first book, Ancient Mysteries and Modern Masonry (2023), brings to light a collection of previously unpublished essays and private papers by Jewel P. Lightfoot, Attorney General of Texas (1910–1912) and Grand Master in 1915. His newest work, A Stranger in the Elemental Temple: The Rituals of the Ancient Oriental Order of Ishmael, explores the history and complete ritual system of this little-known para-Masonic Order. It is published by Lewis Masonic.
